Long Day of Travel

Well, we finally made it here safely. It was a long and tiring 24 hour day of travel, but here we are! We arrived about 2pm in the afternoon (Hawaii time) in Honolulu airport. Our friend Raul and his son Jovani were there to meet us in true Hawaiian style with fresh flower lays for each of us! We were so happy for the warm welcome and to finally be off those stupid airplanes! 10 hours of flights with no food or entertainment provided! What is United thinking? We had a little ticket scare, lots of hunger and were very exhausted when we got here, but we hung in there like troopers and stayed up with our friends the Sierras until about 8pm Hawaii time...so that we could get our bodies on a regular schedule here. We woke up this morning feeling refreshed and ready to go on a personal island tour with our friend Yasmin. She’s going to show us where on Oahu some movies like Jurassic Park and 50 First Dates were filmed. Should be a nice relaxing day.
